Specialty Coffee Harvest and Shipment Timeline
Specialty Coffee is typically harvested once a year, though some regions may experience multiple harvests. This allows us to estimate when coffee can be harvested, processed, and shipped worldwide. Unfortunately, once-predictable harvest seasons shift year by year due to rising global temperatures and changing weather patterns. After harvesting and processing, coffee typically “rests” at its origin for 30–60 days before being shipped, although this can vary.
The chart also includes predictions for when our North American offices expect arrivals from each country. It generally takes about 5–6 weeks, but these estimates are subject to change as well. While numerous factors affect cargo transport, this timeframe holds fairly true for coffee shipments.
